THE NOVATEX VILLAGE
SUPPORTED IN COOPERATION WITH THE CENTRO AIUTI PER L'ETIOPIA
In cooperation with the Centro Aiuti per l'Etiopia, Novatex has launched a multi-year distance support project for children and families in socially and economically vulnerable situations. The multi-year distance support formula enables families in need to offer their children a more serene childhood and a better future, thanks to improved healthcare, food, schooling and professional training conditions.

Centro Aiuti per l'Etiopia ODV ETS Mission
We act to fight hunger, disease and poverty in Ethiopia with international cooperation projects and long-distance adoption of vulnerable children. Over the years, Centro Aiuti per l'Etiopia has built schools, shelters for children and for disabled young people, hospitals, wells and refectories. The Centre has undertaken activities to promote education, health education and interventions to protect maternal and child health. Through long-distance adoption CAE's operators have helped hundreds of thousands of children to grow up and study. Many of them are now young adults with families, a symbol of hope for the whole of Ethiopian society.
Novatex is an Italian company that has been manufacturing round baler net wraps since
1977 and providing innovative, efficient and reliable solutions for forage harvesting
and protection. Novatex has emerged over the years as a leader in the international
market, also thanks to its exclusive proprietary technology.
Novatex has always stood out for its ability to create value in the region where it
operates and also beyond national borders, through its commitment to reducing its
environmental impact and increasing its focus on the world's most disadvantaged rural
areas, with projects that can help improve the planet.

Ethiopia is a large country with an area of about 1,112,000 km² and a population of about 129,719,700 people.
The population is growing, especially the young population, however, the country suffers greatly from critical issues related to economic development
In the primary sector, agriculture, which is supposed to guarantee the population's livelihood, critical situations are partly due to rather imponderable weather conditions, including violent floods alternating with long periods of drought.
This factor, combined with the lack of funding for major infrastructure projects and an underdeveloped Industry, does not allow for sufficient agricultural and food production to feed everyone.
The population is often subjected to periods of severe hunger, with tragic consequences in terms of health and social welfare.
Novatex Village
Building the future in the family
Novatex stands alongside disadvantaged families in Ethiopia. Novatex's plan with CAE is to provide a contribution to a group of about 35 children, to support their livelihoods, following their needs as they grow up, with a focus also on children with disabilities and orphans, who are often left on the margins. So far the children supported are 35. Most of these children live with their families in their home villages, others live in our John Paul II Shelter Centre in Areka.Building a professional path for the future
The synergy between Centro Aiuti per l'Etiopia and NOVATEX ITALIA S.p.A. has led to the support of 12 training courses (4 one-year courses and 8 short courses of approximately 5 months) at the Salesian Sisters' facilities (Zuway School and/or Addis Ababa), for an equal number of students and/or female students. These vocational courses will provide them with the practical knowledge to carry out a job aimed at immediate introduction in the labour market.MAPS- Villages
